Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann insists quotes published from him by France Football are fake and he did not speak to them.
As Marca outline, the report in the French media outlet claimed that the forward said he had not been welcomed in the Camp Nou dressing room and allegedly explained: “They are jealous of me for winning the 2018 World Cup.”
It was also reported by France Football that the former Atletico de Madrid star had said his wife was not comfortable in Barcelona, which is another aspect which he denies.
The 28-year-old’s representatives have denied all quotes in the article and claim that no conversation was held with the paper either on the record or in private, and he has distanced himself entirely from it.
Griezmann arrived at the Blaugrana this summer when his €120m release clause at Atleti was triggered but his performances and adaption to the club have not been quite as planned so far.
There has been greater expectation on the forward than expected due to a series of injury problems for Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez this campaign.
