Real Madrid: Chelsea, Manchester United among clubs chasing Vinicius Junior

Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves all want to sign Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior, report El Desmarque.

The report claims Paris Saint-Germain along with Italian duo Inter and Roma have also unofficially informed Madrid of their interest.

The teenage Brazilian forward arrived at the outgoing European champions last summer and made an exciting impression in his debut season for the club.

The 19-year-old had enjoyed an excellent debut campaign in the Spanish capital, with four goals in 19 starts in all competitions in 2018-19.

However, this season Vinicius has found things a little tougher and has been selected in Zinedine Zidane’s starting XI just six times this campaign, with a further eight appearances as a substitute.

There have been times when he has been frozen out of a matchday squad altogether and the prominence of his fellow Brazilian teenager Rodrygo Goes has highlighted his absences.

Earlier this month, Real Valladolid owner Ronaldo Nazario – who has a close relationship with Los Blancos – indicated he would try to sensationally loan Vinicius in January.

“I would love to have Vinicius, last season he saved Real Madrid from a great failure,” Ronaldo told Fox in Brazil, as cited by Cadena Cope.

“The expectation levels with him are very high, he still has a lot of potential to improve.”

However, that followed on from a recent report in Diario AS which claims that the forward is intent on staying in the Spanish capital and has ruled out a January loan exit.
