Zinedine Zidane unconcerned by Luka Jovic’s form

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has dismissed rumours that he is worried about Luka Jovic's form at the club.

The Serbian international joined the La Liga giants ahead of the start of the 2019-20 season from Eintracht Frankfurt, as part of a €60M, however he has struggled to make an impact in the Spanish capital.

He has scored just once in 12 appearances in all competitions, with Vinicus Junior and Rodrygo Goes overtaking him in the first team in recent weeks.

"He (Jovic) is not lost," Zidane told reporters from Marca in his post game interview.

"He played well tonight, but it is true that he has not played a lot so far this season."

"He is a player that needs to play a lot to play well."

"There is no problem with him, and he must keep working hard."

"At the moment the difficulty lies with me, as I cannot find a place for him, but he must be ready to play when he is needed."

""Hopefully he will get more game time in the coming weeks."

Los Blancos head to Valencia at the weekend in La Liga action, ahead of their El Clasico trip to Barcelona next week.

Zidane also confirmed he is considering starting Brazilian international Casemiro against Los Che, despite walking a suspension tightrope ahead of the trip to the Camp Nou.
