Real Madrid: Luka Jovic offered to Arsenal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Real Madrid but in exchange for their striker Luka Jovic.

El Mundo Deportivo cite a report from British journalist Duncan Castles, who claims representatives of both clubs and the players have already held discussions.

Aubameyang, 30, has been prolific for the North London club since his January 2018 switch from the Bundesliga, scoring 53 goals in 83 appearances.

Diario Sport recently reported on Barcelona’s interest in the striker, but stated that whilst he always preferred a move to Real Madrid but that his intention is to play in Spain and would be open to a move to the Camp Nou.

Indeed, the same outlet highlighted how Ousmane Dembele – his former Borussia Dortmund teammate – gave him a Blaugrana shirt last month on a visit to Catalonia.

A report in El Desmarque from November claimed the Gunners have told the Gabonese hitman that they are willing to listen to offers for him should he want to leave, in light of his contract expiring in the summer of 2021.

That report added that Madrid are one such club interested and would be prepared to pay in excess of €70m to land him, while El Chiringuito said that Barcelona are interested in the former Borussia Dortmund man.

Aubameyang has been announced as the new club captain at the Emirates Stadium to replace Granit Xhaka.

Jovic joined Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt in a €60m deal this summer but has been a fringe figure to date this campaign, starting just three matches and scoring once.
