Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal linked with Manchester United

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has emerged as a shock transfer target for Premier League side Arturo Vidal in January.

The Chilean international has been linked with a move away from the Camp Nou this season, with both he, and manager Ernesto Valverde, have admitted that he could move on unless he can command a regular first team place.

Vidal has regularly been used as a second half substitute by Valverde so far this season, with just three La Liga starts, but he has scored four league goals.

Reports in UK newspaper the Daily Mirror claim that United have already contacted Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich over a potential €13M move from Catalonia in next month's transfer window.

Valverde placed further doubt on Vidal's future during his post match interview following the La Liga 5-2 win at home to Real Mallorca, stating that he was happy with the former Bayern Munich man but admitting he could move on.
