Lionel Messi criticised by Real Mallorca coach Vicente Moreno

Real Mallorca boss Vicente Moreno has criticised Barcelona skipper Lionel Messi following their 5-2 La Liga defeat at the Camp Nou.

Messi netted a hat trick against Moreno's side, in an outstanding display, but the former Xerez boss was unhappy with certain aspects of Messi's attitude during the game.

The pair clashed just before half time, after Messi was fouled in front of the technical area, and Ivan Rakitic had to step in to calm the situation between the two.

"It does not matter whether or not he (Messi) was angry, it is not important" he told a post-match interview with Marca.

"There are some players who exist in a bubble, and you cannot reason with them."

"Some players are different, and some accept the decisions of the referee, and some react like anyone else."

"I told the referee it was not a foul, and he agreed, but Messi did not."

"We should not give it any more importance than that."

Mallorca's defeat in Catalonia is their third in a row, and they find themselves just outside the relegation zone, with games against Celta Vigo and Sevilla before the winter break.
