Barcelona’s Luis Suarez hails his ‘best ever’ goal against Real Mallorca

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has hailed his brilliant goal against Real Mallorca as the best of his career.

Lionel Messi stole the show in their 5-2 La Liga win over the Balearic side, but the Uruguayan international netted a superb fourth goal just before half time.

Frenkie De Jong fed him inside the right channel of the box, and despite being closely marked by two Mallorca defenders, the veteran forward produced a spectacular back heel past Manolo Reina.

"It is the best goal of my career," he told his post interview with Marca.

"I knew there was an angle to score, and that I would have to go with the back heel."

"But I was alive for the rebound, as I gave the goal keeper a chance to save."

"We are playing with more confidence at the moment, and that showed today."

"We linked up really well in attack, and that is good."

The goal is Suarez's eighth league goal of the season, and he is now joint third behind Messi and Real Madrid's Karim Benzema, alongside Gerard Moreno, Loren Moron and Lucas Perez.
