Sevilla and Leicester City want to sign Brest midfielder Ibrahima Diallo in the January transfer window, according to reports.
The 20-year-old is on the Andalusian club’s shopping list this winter, as Diario AS cite a report from France Football as stating.
Leicester have had successes in signing midfielders from Ligue 1 in recent times including N’Golo Kante, Nampalys Mendy and Youri Tielemans, and now see Diallo as next on the list.
The former Monaco youth product has risen to prominence this season with newly-promoted Brest, starting in 14 of their 16 league matches to date.
Diallo is seen as being an expert in breaking up play but also in playing ‘in between the lines’ of opposition teams, winning interceptions and continually finding space.
However, the reports adds that Brest have already confirmed that he will not be allowed to leave this winter and the player has no great demands to exit the club, despite the links to both Spain and England.
