Juventus ‘not interested’ in Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic

Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly confirmed that are not interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic in January.

The Croatian international has been consistently linked with a move away from the Catalan side, despite indicating that he wanted to stay, as talks over a new contract have stalled.

Juventus Sporting Director Fabio Paraciti, has refuted rumours that they are preparing a bid for the former Sevilla midfielder, claiming they are happy with their current squad.

"We have a great team, and we are not looking to reinforce at the moment," he told an interview with ESPN.

"Rakitic is a great player, but we not interested."

"We are fully covered in all positions."

Rakitic has also been linked with a move to fellow Serie A side Inter Milan, after losing his place in the Barcelona team so far this season, with just one La Liga start in 2019-20.

The 31-year old has played a key role in Barcelona's recent success, following his 2014 move from the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, making 280 appearances in all competitions and winning four league titles and a Champions League.
