Watford consider sacking Quique Sanchez Flores

Watford are considering sacking Quique Sanchez Flores less then three months after his reappointment, report the Telegraph.

The Spaniard has picked up just one win and seven points from his nine matches at the helm of the Hornets, who are rooted to the foot of the divisions.

Sanchez Flores was in charge of Watford for the 2015-16 campaign before leaving at the end of the season to take the helm at Espanyol, whom he coached for two seasons.

He then moved to Shanghai Shenhua before returning to Vicarage Road earlier this season, to replace his fellow Spaniard Javi Gracia.

The Hornets suffered a three-goal home defeat at the hands of Burnley on Saturday and now face a tough run of fixtures coming up ahead of the busy Christmas schedule.

They have a crunch meeting with fellow strugglers Southampton in their next game but a failure to score in five of their last eight matches shows the underlying issues with the team at present.
