Sevilla, Chelsea race for CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov

Chelsea and Sevilla are both interested in signing CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov, according to reports.

The 21-year-old striker has netted 35 goals and provided 19 assists in 109 appearances for the first team of CSKA and is now a Russian international.

Estadio Deportivo now say the frontman is on the list of Sevilla sporting director Monchi while they also cite reports from England of interest from Chelsea.

Arsenal and Liverpool have previously been linked to the forward, whose contract in Moscow expires in 2022 and would be allowed to leave for upwards of €15m, the report adds.

The young striker was the top scorer of the Russian championship in the 2018/19 season with 15 goals and is second top scorer this time round with five – making him ‘one of the top names in the winter market’.

Chalov won the first of his two caps for the Russia national team earlier this year after being included in the provisional squad for the 2018 World Cup in his native country.
