Luis Suarez Miramontes criticises Barcelona treatment of Sergio Busquets

Former Barcelona legend Luis Suarez Miramontes has slammed the club´s recent treatment of midfielder Sergio Busquets in recent weeks.

Suarez, who won two La Liga titles with the Catalan side in the 1950's, told an interview with Spanish radio station Carrusel Deportivo, via Marca, that Ernesto Valverde's usage of the Spanish international is unacceptable.

"if it was me, and I was treated the way Busquets has been, I would speak to the coach and ask to leave."

"After today's game (the 2-1 win at Leganes), the most important to take from it is that we are losing Busquets at Barcelona."

"He does not look happy, or plays with freedom at the moment, and the team´s performance is suffering as a result."

"We are seeing decisions being taken that are preventing Busquets from being himself."

The veteran midfielder was withdrawn in the second half at the Estadio Butarque, and he has only completed 90 minutes in his 11 La Liga appearances so far this season.
