Malcom contacted over potential Barcelona return

Former Barcelona forward Malcom has confirmed that he has been contacted about a potential return to the club at the end of the season

.The Brazilian joined Barcelona at the start of the 2018-19 campaign in a €41M deal from Ligue 1 side Bordeaux, however he endured a tough first season in La Liga, making just 15 league appearances for Ernesto Valverde's side.

Following the summer arrival of Antoine Griezmann, Malcom was deemed as surplus to requirements at the Camp Nou, and moved on to Russian side Zenit St Petersburg for €40M.

However he has not settled in Russia, making just two appearances for Sergei Semak's side, and told an interview with RMC Sport, via Marca, that he is considering a return to Spain.

"I have received messages about returning to Barcelona."

"Whenever I was given a chance to play (at Barcelona) I think I did well."

"For that reason, I believe the Barcelona fans still love me."

The 22-year old declined to comment on who had contacted him about a possible comeback, or if it was anyone connected with the club,
