Arsenal’s Dani Ceballos ‘will not return’ to Real Madrid under Zidane

Arsenal loanee Dani Ceballos will not return to Real Madrid as long as Zinedine Zidane is Coach, according to the Daily Mail.

It follows a recent report in El Desmarque that Madrid have rejected an offer of €30m from the Gunners to land midfielder Dani Ceballos on a permanent deal.

However, the report claims that Madrid’s valuation of the midfielder has dropped since the summer and even suggest that a €35m bid may be enough to secure a deal.

The Spain international is on a season-long loan deal at the North London club from Madrid, with it previously assumed that he will return to the Spanish capital at the end of the campaign.

Last month, El Desmarque claimed that Ceballos has spoken directly to Madrid president Florentino Perez and has insisted that he open talks with the Gunners over a permanent move.

The 23-year-old has already notched up 12 first-team appearances for Unai Emery’s side this campaign having started just 17 La Liga matches across the past two seasons combined at Los Blancos.

Ceballos is said to have a strained relationship with Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane and the Frenchman’s position by next summer could be key for the future of the midfielder.

Madrid signed him for €14m from Real Betis in 2017 and are said to be looking to bring in three times that transfer value should they go down the route of a permanent sale.
