Wolves’ Adama Traore withdraws from Spain squad

Wolves midfielder Adama Traore has withdrawn from the Spain squad to face Malta and Romania in Euro 2020 qualifying action next week.

Robert Moreno's side have already qualified for next season's competition, and they face their double header Cadiz and Madrid in the coming days, however the squad has been blighted by injury.

Traore was controversially called up as a replacement for Valencia's Rodrigo Moreno, despite declaring last month that he intended to represent Mali at international level, after only being capped at U21 level with Spain.

However suffered a injury in Wolves' 2-1 Premier League win over Aston Villa, and has now withdrawn from the 23-man panel.

Moreno has reacted swiftly to the situation by calling up Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Pablo Sarabia.

The former Sevilla man missed the October round of internationals, after making his senior debut back in August.
