Wolves midfielder Adama Traore has received a shock call up to Robert Moreno's Spain squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers next week.
The former Barcelona player has represented Spain at every underage level up to U21, however he declared last week that he intended to represent Mali, the country of his parent's birth.
However, despite this admission, Moreno is now reportedly extending the offer to him as last ditch attempt to keep him as an option for Spain ahead of next summer's tournament, according to reports in Marca.
The Catalan born player has not yet represented either Spain or Mali at a competitive senior level, and because of that he remains an option for Moreno.
He has been included in the 23-man squad to face Malta and Roumania in Cadiz and Madrid in the coming weeks, after replacing injured Cadiz striker Rodrigo Moreno.
The 23-year old has impressed for Nuno Santo's side this season, as he looks to add consistency to his game, making 18 appearances in league and European action so far.
Traore is joined in Moreno's squad by fellow Premier League stars David De Gea, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Rodrido Hernandez.
