Monaco president reveals Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid plan

AS Monaco president Vadim Vasilyev has revealed his view that former star Kylian Mbappe will eventually move onto Real Madrid.

Mbappe left Monaco to join Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain back in 2018, following an initial loan spell in Paris in the 2017-18 season.

However the French international has consistently been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and Vasilyev remains confident that he will head to La Liga.

"Mbappe has told me of his desire to go to Real Madrid, he told an interview with Telefoot.

"He said Vasilyev, but at the moment it is too soon.

"He had only played a season of senior football then, and he wanted to go back to his home in Paris.

"Real Madrid can wait, he said."

Mbappe joined the Parisians in a €170M deal continues to be high on Florentino Perez's list of potential targets in the next twelve months.

However with contract at the Parc de Princes running until 2022, it could take a new world record fee to bring him to the Spanish capital.
