Sergi Roberto is an injury for Champions League duty

Barcelona defender Sergi Roberto is set for a fitness battle ahead of their midweek Champions League clash with Slavia Prague.

The defending La Liga champions head to the Czech Republic, as part of a Champions League double header against Jindrich Trpisovsky's side, following a draw with Borussia Dortmund and a win home win over Inter Milan.

However the Spanish international is likely to miss out, after he was withdrawn at half time in the weekend win away at Eibar, with Nelson Semedo replacing him at the Estadio Irpura.

Roberto has been a regular starter for Ernesto Valverde's side so far this season, but Semedo is set to replace him as he recovers from the injury.

Aside from Roberto, Valverde is expected to have a fully fit squad for their forthvoming games, with Junior Firpo and and Carles Perez back in full training for the Catalan side.
