Arturo Vidal admits to Antoine Greizmann struggles at Barcelona

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has confirmed that Antoine Griezmann has faced issues in adapting to life at the Camp Nou.

The French international joined in a highly publicised €120M move from Atletico Madrid, however he has struggled to hit the ground running with the La Liga champions so far this season.

Griezmann scored twice on his home debut, but has only netted once since then, and Chilean international Vidal confirmed in an exclusive interview with Diario Sport, that he was still getting used to the club.

"It has been difficult for him to integrate and adapt.

"He has arrived at the best team in the world, with the best players.

"He has come from a side that plays a very different way to Barcelona.

"But we know that he has a lot of quality and he is one of the best players in the world.

"We need to give him time, and once he knows exactly what the manager wants from him, he will help the team a lot."

Both players are currently away on international duty, with Griezmann set to replace the suspended Ousmane Dembele for the weekend trip to Eibar.

Vidal could return to the bench, after playing the majority of the season as an impact substitute, and he did confirm frustration at a lack of first team football so far in 2019-20.

However he added that he remained committed to the club, and would only look to move on, if Ernesto Valverde wanted him to leave.
