POST MATCH: Spain’s Euro 2020 qualification delayed by Norway draw

Spain's qualification for Euro 2020 has been delayed after they slipped to a late 1-1 draw away in Norway.

Robert Moreno's side can still seal their spot in next summer's tournament with a positive result away against Sweden next week.

Bournemouth striker Josh King netted a 93rd minute penalty, after goal keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga fouled Omar Elabdellaoui.

Both sides struggled to create chances in the first half, with King having the only real chance to break the deadlock – with Kepa making an alert save, just after the half hour mark.

Saul Niguez was Spain's brightest player in the opening 45 minutes, and the Atletico Madrid midfielder edged Spain in front two minutes after the restart.

Juan Bernat recycled a loose ball into Sergio Busquets, and the Barcelona destroyer fed Niguez, to hammer home from 25 yards.

The visitors should have wrapped up the victory in the closing stages, with Fabian Ruiz hitting the woodwork twice and Mikel Oyarzabal heading over.
