No Barcelona problem for Antoine Griezmann – Lenglet

Clement Lenglet insists Antoine Griezmann has had no issues settling into Barcelona following his summer move from Atletico Madrid.

Griezmann was a summer arrival at Barcelona – who triggered his €120m release clause at Atleti – and despite scoring three goals for his new club, has not fully settled into the rhythm of his new side.

There had been suggestions that the French forward had not integrated fully with his new squad, with comments that he ‘had not spoken much’ with Lionel Messi amplified and arguably taken out of context.

However, central defender Lenglet – who is also an international teammate of Griezmann with France – has downplayed such claims.

“With Griezmann we are laughing all day,” Lenglet is cited as saying by Cadena Cope. “He loves to make jokes and in Barça he hasn't changed. For me, there is no case with Griezmann.

“Ousmane Dembele? He is a tremendous talent, and is unpredictable, but he needs stability in order to continue his progression.”

It follows on from Lenglet’s comments on the Tu Diràs program of RAC1, as cited by Diario AS: “He (Griezmann) was wrong with 'The Decision' (TV programme), but we must only think about the present and the future.

“He will adapt to Barça, for his talent and for his quality. He already has scored three goals and has shown a good level, but he can still do things better because he has an incredible talent.”
