Ariedo Braida to take Barcelona to court

Ariedo Braida is seeking to take Barcelona to court following his departure from the club earlier this year, report Marca.

Braida had been at Barcelona since 2015, occupying the position of international sporting advisor, but was dismissed from his role earlier this year.

The Italian has denounced the club for what he considers to have been an unfair dismissal against him. He is said not to be satisfied with the economic compensation that he was given, which is why he has filed the lawsuit against the Catalans.

Braida was fired on August 12, as outlined by Catalunya Radio, and appeared at the club’s offices along with lawyer Juan de Dios Crespo.

It was in this context that Braida was supposedly under the impression that his removal was a part of the operation to take Neymar to the Camp Nou – which never materialised.

Braida is best known in Italy for spending 27 years as Milan’s general manager between 1986 and 2013.
