Real Madrid consider Martin Odegaard recall

Real Madrid could bring Martin Odegaard back to the club early from his two-year loan spell at Real Sociedad, claim Diario AS.

The Norway international has starred in the opening weeks of the campaign for La Real after joining them on a two-year loan deal from Los Blancos.

He has spent the last two seasons out on loan, at Heerenveen and Vitesse respectively, before joining the Basque club at the start of the season.

The fresh report claims the 20-year-old is earning €2m annually with Real Sociedad – his full salary – but the Madrid club can recall him after just one season should they so wish.

It is said that should the capital club wish to recall Odegaard from his loan spell at the Anoeta, they would have to pay the Basque club a €2m compensation package.

Odegaard has scored twice and provided an assist in his first seven league games for La Real and he is said to be very happy with the club.
