Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos has hailed his team mates for their battling performance in their 1-0 win at Sevilla CF.
A second half goal from Karim Benzema secured a victory for the first time in five visits to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, as Real Madrid kept up their unbeaten La Liga record in 2019-20.
Los Blancos have come in for criticism in recent weeks, and the Spanish international praised the reaction of Zinedine Zidane's side.
"We approached the game with a strong mentality after a difficult week.
"We knew that the result would be decided by small margins, and that we would need to defend well.
"As a club, Real Madrid is always hungry to win and we had an anger to win tonight.
"We have made a real step forward tonight, and I am pleased with the result."
Real Madrid moved up to second in the La Liga table with the victory, and Ramos added that he was confident they could continue to progress to the top of the table in the coming weeks.
Zidane's side face Osasuna at home in midweek, before heading to city rivals Atletico Madrid this weekend.
