Casemiro makes ‘no excuses’ for PSG defeat

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro believes his side can have no excuses for their 3-0 opening Champions League defeat against PSG.

Goals from former Real Madrid forward Angel Di Maria and Thomas Meunier sealed a dominant performance from Thomas Tuchel's side, as Real Madrid struggled to cope with the intensity of their hopes.

The La Liga side were without captain Sergio Ramos, as well as experienced duo Marcelo and Luka Modric, but the Brazilian was in no mood for excuses at full time in Paris.

"We had opportunities to score, and had two goals cancelled out, but there can be no excuses.

"We knew that it would be difficult here, and they were more aggressive than us, and that has decided the game.

"The result shows how far off we were tonight, as they controlled the game, and we did not play well.

"However, we know what we have to do to change, and we have time to do so."

Real Madrid are unbeaten in La Liga action so far this season, and they head to Sevilla CF this weekend, before games against Osasuna and the Madrid derby with Atletico Madrid before their next Champions League clash at home to Club Brugge.
