PSG talking with Dembele, Rakitic for Neymar swap

Paris Saint-Germain hope to sign Barcelona duo Ivan Rakitic and Ousmane Dembele in the operation taking Neymar to the Camp Nou.

Diario Sport carry the report while El Mundo Deportivo also cite a similar report in Le Parisien, which claims negotiations are already underway for the move.

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel previously coached Dembele at Borussia Dortmund while the French champions also attempted to land Rakitic last summer.

The Croatian international’s current deal at the Camp Nou runs through until the summer of 2021 although Barca signed midfielders Arturo Vidal and Arthur Melo last year and have landed Frenkie De Jong from Ajax this summer.

This has left the Blaugrana with an overcrowded midfield and Rakitic has not been selected in the starting line-up for either of the side’s opening La Liga matches this campaign.

Dembele, 22, has endured two campaigns blighted by injury at the Camp Nou and it has been reported that there is growing frustration over his continued fitness issues.

The France international netted 14 goals last season but had been restricted to just 20 starts in La Liga and failed to sustain a run of games without further injuries.
