Real Madrid linked with Maarten Stekelenburg as Keylor Navas replacement

Real Madrid could make a shock move for Maarten Stekelenburg should Keylor Navas leave the club.

Costa Rican international Navas has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, however both he and Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane have indicated they want to stay as stay as they are.

However, the French side continue to be linked with the 32-year old, who still has two years left on his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, as they look for replacement for Gianluigi Buffon.

If Navas does move on, reports from FootballInsider.com claim that Zidane will make a move for Everton reserve goal keeper Stekelenburg, who third choice at Goodison Park, behind Jordan Pickford and Jonas Lossl.

The 36-year old is reported to be the second choice to replace Navas, with Los Blancos also linked with AC Milan's Pepe Reina.
