FC Barcelona reject Inter Milan bid for Arturo Vidal

FC Barcelona have turned down a bid from Serie A side Inter Milan for Arturo Vidal.

According to reports in Mundo Deportivo, the La Liga champions rejected an offer for the Chile international, as Ernesto Valverde wants to keep him at the Camp Nou for the 2019-20 season.

Inter were interested in the 32-year old midfielder prior to his move to FC Barcelona at the start of the season, however he opted to join La Blaugrana from Bayern Munich in favour of the Italian side.

Vidal has consistently stated his desire to stay at FC Barcelona, with two years still to run on his contract with the club, despite transfer rumours linking him with a move away.

Despite initially being signed as a squad player by Valverde, he became a key player in the latter half of the 2018-19 season – making 33 La Liga appearances, and 53 overall.
