Liverpool to receive Philippe Coutinho’s Bayern Munich loan fee

Premier League side Liverpool are in line to receive a fee if Philippe Coutinho completes his loan move from FC Barcelona to Bayern Munich.

The Brazilian is expected to complete a season-long deal from the La Liga champions to Niko Kovac's side in the coming days, and Jurgen Klopp's side could be in line for a fee.

According to reports in Catalan newspaper Diario Sport, FC Barcelona are still paying instalments to Liverpool, following Coutinho's €145m move from Anfield in 2018.

FC Barcelona paid €105m up front for the former Inter Milan midfielder, with an additional €40m due in instalments dependent on how much Coutinho played for Ernesto Valverde's side.

They are reported to be in the region of €4.5m per 25 games played by Coutinho, however there is still money outstanding on the deal based on other variables.

According to the reports, Bayern Munich will take on Coutinho's €12m annual salary, however the loan fee of €16m will be paid directly to Liverpool as part of the 2018 deal.
