Sevilla midfielder Roque Mesa is set to join Leganes on a season-long loan deal, according to a report in Marca.
There is expected to be a shake-up of the first-team squad at the Andalusian club with Monchi returning as sporting director and Julen Lopetegui now in the dugout.
Mesa made 31 La Liga appearances for Los Rojiblancos last season after making his loan move from Swansea City permanent last summer.
“The reality is that I am one of the transferable players here,” Mesa acknowledged in a June interview in La Provincia, as cited by Marca.
“I have a contract with Sevilla (until June 2021) but if a club comes in and they want to sign me and Sevilla are satisfied, then I'll see agree to it, but it has to be something that is good for all parties.
“At the moment I am calm and I am enjoying my time here and I am with my family and if I have to go, I will do it with my head held high.
“I always wish Sevilla the best, my professionalism is guaranteed by my career.”
