Club legend Predrag Mijatovic has warned Gareth Bale of the potential consequences of remaining at Real Madrid.
The former Yugoslavian international, who won a La Liga and Champions League title with Los Blancos before serving as a club director between 2006 and 2009, has spoken out of the Welsh international's future.
"If Bale stays at Real Madrid, it will not be Real Madrid that have problems, he told Spanish radio programme El Larguero.
"It will be Bale that has problems this season.
"Zidane clearly has little or no faith in him."
The Frenchman has publicly stated that the club are actively looking to sell the former Tottenham player before the La Liga transfer window closes on September 2nd, however no move has yet materialised.
Bale had looked set for a big-money move to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning, however Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez pulled the plug on the deal as the Chinese side refused to pay a transfer fee for Bale.
The 30-year old has remained tight lipped over his future in recent weeks, having previously stated that he wanted to keep his family in the Spanish capital.
