Real Madrid want Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain

Real Madrid are set to launch a bid to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar before the end of the La Liga transfer window.

Clubs in the Spanish top flight are able to sign players up until September 2nd, and according to Marca, Zinedine Zidane wants to bring the 28-year old to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Neymar has publicly stated his desire to leave the Ligue 1 champions, with former club FC Barcelona reportedly his preferred destination – however that could change if Los Blancos meet PSG's asking price of €200m.

Ernesto Valverde confirmed that the La Liga champions are considering bringing him back to the Camp Nou, however they are in no rush to make a decision, due to the signing of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid.

The Catalan side had previously tested the resolve of Thomas Tuchel and the PSG board with a reported player-plus-cash deal involving Philippe Coutinho, however the French are only interested in a cash only deal.

Real Madrid could look to present a different option to PSG, by offering Spanish international Isco, plus cash, to see if they receive a different response from the French capital.
