Toni Kroos: Zidane always wants perfection as a Coach

Toni Kroos is confident Zinedine Zidane can lead Real Madrid back to glory on both the Spanish and European stage.

The German midfielder explained that Zidane returned to the club when ‘everything was lost’ and despite the difficulties the club faced, the Frenchman was the best man for the job.

“Zidane always wants to perfect himself as a Coach; he is constantly thinking,” Kroos told Kicker, as cited by Diario AS.

“We want to play better and more consistently too. That is they key, the rest comes following on from that. If you play better, you will fight for the titles. Even if in the Champions League a couple of details are decisive.

“It is not easy to take a team to where Zidane left us. It is difficult to reach that level. When Zidane returned, it was as if he had never left, although the situation when he returned in mid-March 2019 was different from when he left in May 2018.

“For Zidane it was a difficult time to return, everything was lost.”
