Real Madrid abandon Paul Pogba pursuit in favour of Donny Van De Beek

Real Madrid have called off their interested in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Accoring to reports in Marca this weekend, Los Blancos haved decided to end their summer long chase of the French international, in favour of a move for Ajax midfielder Donny Van De Beek.

Manager Zinedine Zidane highlighted Pogba as his primary transfer target ahead of the 2019-20 La Liga season, however Van de Beek has emerged as a more achieveable option.

The Dutch international is expected to travel to Madrid on July 5 to finalise personal terms with Zidane's side, after the two clubs agreed a €30m fee for the 22-year old.
