Real Madrid confirm Jesus Vallejo Wolves loan

Real Madrid have confirmed that Jesus Vallejo will join Wolves on loan for the 2019-20 season.

The 22-year old defender has been linked with a move to Nuno Santo's side in recent weeks, and both parties have no confirmed the season-long deal.

Valejo, who came through the youth ranks at Real Zaragoza, signed for Real Madrid in 2015, before being immediately loaned back to his boyhood club for a season.

He then spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, before making his Real Madrid debut in 2017, under Zinedine Zidane.

However he has struggled to force his way past Nacho Fernandez as the club's reserve central defender, and following the summer signing of Eder Militao, from Porto, he was expected to start the season as fifth choice at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Wolves kick off their Premier League campaign at Leicester City on August 11, although he could make his debut before that due to Wolves' Europa League qualification commitments.
