Granada sign Yangel Herrera from Manchester City

Granada have signed Manchester City midfielder Yangel Herrera on a season-long loan deal.

The Venezuelan international caught the eye for his national side during the 2019 Copa America, and the La Liga new boys have swooped in to make their sixth signing of the summer.

The 21-year old is yet to make a senior appearance for Pep Guardiola's side, and he has spent the last three seasons out on loan, with two years at partner club New York FC and the 2018-19 campaign at Huesca.

Despite Huesca's La Liga relegation, Herrera made 16 league appearances, but he declined a return to the club as he wanted to play top flight football in 2019-20.

The club have also confirmed that an option-to-buy clause has been included in the deal, should they avoid relegation and remain in La Liga for the 2020-21 season.

Former Spanish international Roberto Soldado has been the big name arrival at the club this summer, with Fede Vico, Yan Brice, Domingos Duarte and Neyder Lozano also arrving at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes.
