Jean-Clair Todibo set for Barcelona exit

A host of clubs want to sign Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo including Milan and several English clubs, report El Mundo Deportivo.

Todibo only joined the Catalan giants in January this year, ending a long running contractual dispute with previous club Toulouse in Ligue 1.

The report claims that ‘anything can happen’ with the player this summer, with an exit from the Camp Nou appearing increasingly likely.

Nantes, Milan and ‘several Premier League clubs’ are said to hold an interest in his signature, while he is behind Samuel Umtiti, Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet in the pecking order at the Blaugrana.

Initially, Todibo was supposed to join the Spanish champions this summer but when Barca’s request to move the transfer forward by six months were met with resistance by Toulouse, Todibo went on strike to force the deal.

After being forced to play with the youth team at Toulouse, following his standoff with the club's management, he was short of match fitness when he arrived at the Camp Nou, and made just two appearances in 2018-19.
