Teenage striker Jose Juan Macias dreams of Barcelona move

Mexico goalscoring sensation Jose Juan Macias has declared he is ‘ready for European football’ and dreams of playing for Barcelona.

The 19-year-old has scored 11 goals in Liga MX – the top-flight in Mexico – with Leon, initially on a loan spell from Guadalajara before a permanent move this year.

The teenager is highly regarded within his native country and netted 11 goals in 10 international appearances for the nation’s Under-20 side.

“Barcelona are the team I watch the most, I know that for many it is boring, but I like to analyse them and see all the movements of Luis Suarez, who is the best number nine in the world,” Macias told an interview with Marca.

“I would like to play in many different leagues and, as for teams, I am struck by Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, which is supported by many young people, as are PSV Eindhoven and Ajax in Holland.

“I am ready to play in Europe; my dream is to be the best in the history of Mexico.”
