Nemanja Gudelj to become Sevilla’s 10th summer signing

Sevilla are set to make Serbian midfielder Nemanja Gudelj their tenth summer signing following his release from Guangzhou Evergrande, report Marca.

The China-based player now looks certain to return to European football on a permanent basis having played last season on loan at Portuguese club Sporting CP.

Gudelj moved to the Netherlands as a 10-year-old and subsequently played for NAC Breda, AZ Alkmaar and Ajax before moving to China in 2017.

The 22-time capped Serbian international played for both Tianjin TEDA and Guangzhou Evergrande before a loan deal to the Lisbon-based giants last August.

Gudelj is now a free agent after his contract in the Far East expired this summer and he is now set to become the tenth arrival of the summer at the Andalusian club.

Sevilla’s summer spending has gone in excess of €115m following earlier deals for Jules Kounde, Diego Carlos, Lucas Ocampos, Fernando, Joan Jordan, Mannus Dabbur, Sergio Reguilon, Oliver Torres and Luuk de Jong.

The club are now seeking to sell a number of players including Nolito and Roque Mesa.
