Allan Nyom on the verge of Getafe move

West Brom defender Allan Nyom is set for a return to La Liga with Getafe.

The 31-year old full back spent the 2018-19 season on loan at city rivals Leganes, following the Baggies relegation to the Championship in 2018.

He made 23 La Liga appearances for Mauricio Pellegrino's side, however Jose Bordalas is confident that the prospect of European football at Getafe will force the move through.

A second successive season in Spain would be Nyom's third spell in the country, after a bizarre six-year loan deal at Granada CF from Serie A side Udinese.

The Cameroonian international has one year left on his deal at The Hawthorns, and according to reports on Sky Sports, a fee of €2.5m should be enough to bring him back to Spain.

Alternatively, they could offer Nyom another season-long loan in Madrid, and sign him on a free transfer at the end of the 2019-20 season.

Bordalas has already been active in the transfer market ahead of the new season, bringing in Enric Gallego from relegated Huesca, Jack Harper from Segunda Division side Malaga CF and Marc Cucurella on a loan-to-buy deal from FC Barcelona.
