West Brom defender Allan Nyom to join Getafe

Getafe are set to complete the signing of West Bromwich Albion defender Allan Nyom on a season-long loan deal, according to Marca.

The 31-year-old spent last season on loan at Getafe’s southern Madrid rivals Leganes, where he made 25 first-team appearances before returning to England this summer.

The full-back had spent the past two seasons at the Baggies following a year with Watford, making a grand total of 92 appearances in the Premier League.

The Cameroon international wants to remain in the Spanish capital and is set to join Los Azulones on a similar arrangement of a year-long loan from the Midlands club.

The defender had previous experience of playing in Spain having made 208 first-team appearances for Granada over the course of six seasons between 2009 and 2015.

He is set to be the latest arrival at Getafe, who are preparing for next season in the Europa League and have already bolstered the squad with the arrival of forward Jack Harper from Malaga, while Barcelona’s Marc Cucurella is set to follow.
