Philippe Coutinho needs clarification from FC Barcelona, says Kia Joorabchian

Philippe Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian has called on FC Barcelona to clarify his client's situation at the club.

The Brazilian international has been linked with a move away from the Camp Nou, particularly after they completed the signing of Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann and continued their pursuit of former player Neymar.

Koorabchian had previously confirmed that the club's hierarchy had given him assurances that Coutinho was not up for sale this summer, however the situation has now potentially changed.

"Pep Segura (FC Barcelona General Manager) has previously told me that they do not want to sell Coutinho, Joorabchian told RMC Sport.

"Both he, and club president Josep Bartomeu, told me this last week and from there, we have not looked to find potential buyers for him."

"However, Barcelona's adviser in Brazil, Andre Curry, has a different role at the club.

"He has been pushing for Coutinho to be included in a deal to bring Neymar back from PSG.

"Barcelona have kept quiet on this, and I will not accept them lying about my client

"If they want Coutinho to leave, they need to say it, and then we can look at the options for his future."

Coutinho has endured a mixed time during his 18 months in Catalonia, following his January 2018 move from Liverpool, and the arrival of Griezmann, and potentially Neymar, could place his future in further doubt.
