New Real Madrid signing Eder Militao has explained how he did ‘not have to think twice’ about joining the club.
The Brazil international was presented officially as a Los Blancos player on Wednesday following his €50m transfer from FC Porto this summer, and spoke of his excitement at the challenge ahead.
“I know there's pressure, it's a very big club, but it's good to do a good job, surely that pressure will always exist,” Militao explained to reporters, as cited by Diario AS.
“I come to do my job, to be a starter or not, the Coach will decide this, if he wants me to play then I will play, I have my feet on the ground.
“I'm going to give everything for this shirt and I'll always play like it's the last game, I'm going to have a good season here and give joy to the fans.
“When I got the news I did not think twice, I saw myself playing in the best club in the world, I was very happy.”
