Eder Militao passes Real Madrid medical ahead of presentation

Eder Militao has passed his medical at Real Madrid and is set to be presented at the club on Wednesday, report Radio Marca.

The 21-year-old is joining the outgoing European champions this summer after they triggered his €50m release clause at the Portuguese giants.

The Brazilian only joined Porto last summer from Sao Paulo and had featured in 47 matches for the club, with his performances catching the eye of many of Europe’s leading clubs.

The versatile defender is primarily a right-back but is equally comfortable playing in the centre of defence or in a deep-lying midfield role.

On 14 March 2019, Real Madrid announced his signing on a six-year contract effective from 1 July 2019 but his medical was not officially completed until 10 July.

Militao, who has also won five international caps for the Brazilian national team, is one of a number of new arrivals at Los Blancos this summer.

His fellow Brazilian Rodrygo Goes has arrived alongside Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy and Luka Jovic with spending exceeding €300m.
