Manchester United open to Paul Pogba negotiation

Manchester United have changed their position on Paul Pogba, and are now ready to negotiate his departure.

According to reports in Marca, the Premier League side are willing to listen to offers for the French international, who has been heavily linked with a switch to Real Madrid before the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

United have now asked for time to assess their options, as they look to recoup the €89m they spent on the 26-year old midfielder back in 2017, as he moved to Old Trafford from Serie A side Juventus.

Maurizio Sarri's side have also been rumoured to be interested in bringing Pogba back to Italy, but it looks to be Real Madrid where he will end up, if a deal can be struck.

United will now begin the search for a successor, with a potential bid for Lazio's Sergej Milinklovic-Savic incoming, although United are at this stage are unwilling to match their 120m asking price for the Serbian international.

Pogba has reported for United's pre-season tour of Australia, despite concerns that his determination to leave would lead him to strike.
