Maxi Gomez will complete his move to Valencia CF in the next 48 hours according to reports in Diario Sport.
The Uruguayan international has been the subject of intense transfer speculation since the end of the 2018-19 La Liga season, with reported interest from clubs in England and Spain.
However he is now set to move to the Mestalla for a fee in the region of €14.5m, with Valencia forward Santi Mina moving in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
Mina, who played with Celta for three season between 2012 and 2015, is expected to sign a three deal with Fran Escriba's side, with Gomez penning a four-year contract with Marcelino's side.
Valencia are also set to allow defender Jorge Saenz to join the Galician club on a season-long loan, after he signed a new five year contract with the club in July.
Gomez netted 13 La Liga goals in 33 appearances, with 30 in 69 league appearances in his two season at the club.
