Liverpool, Arsenal monitoring Ceballos

Dani Ceballos has three Premier League suitors if he leaves Real Madrid this summer, with Liverpool and Arsenal joining Tottenham Hotspur in pursuit.

While AS notes Ceballos’ future should be decided by the third week of July – and Spurs are leading the way, ahead of Milan – Marca say Liverpool and Arsenal are also keen on the midfielder, who is expected to leave Santiago Bernabeu on a season-long loan deal.

Ceballos wants regular football next season ahead of Euro 2020 and isn’t likely to get that at Madrid, but should Spurs sell Christian Eriksen, there will be a vacancy in Mauricio Pochettino’s XI.

Spurs and Madrid remain on good terms, Marca notes, and a permanent transfer with a repurchase option is also a possibility, but Arsenal are hoping to beat their neighbours to his signature.

Unai Emery could offer Ceballos a style of play that suits his game, but the Gunners would not be open to Madrid holding the right to re-sign the player in the future.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have upped their interest in Ceballos in recent weeks, the report claims, and are only interested in a permanent transfer.

Ceballos is a target directly endorsed by Jurgen Klopp, Marca add, as the Coach looks for the injection of drive into the Reds’ midfield that was supposed to be brought by the signing of Naby Keita.
