Agent: Gareth Bale staying at Real Madrid

The agent of Gareth Bale has once again insisted that his client will remain at Real Madrid ahead of next season.

The Welsh wizard turns 30 next month and is not thought to be part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans at the Bernabeu, while the Madrid fans have turned on him.

He is under contract until June 2022, so reports emerged that Los Blancos could be prepared to let Bale leave on loan just to get his €15m per year salary off the books.

“The player has no intention of leaving Real Madrid and is ready to start next week preseason,” Barnett told ESPN FC, as cited by Marca.

“Bale has a contract until 2022 and will be available to Zidane.”

The former Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur winger scored 14 goals with six assists in 42 competitive games this season.

Bale has been linked with Italian giants Inter on and off over the years, all the way back to when he scored a hat-trick at San Siro in 2010.

Madrid’s pre-season starts on 8 July and as things stand, the Welshman will be among the squad.
