Barcelona are primed to announce the signing of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid according to reports in Spain.
Diario AS outline how a personal agreement has already been reached between the parties and from 1 July, the player’s release clause will drop from €200m to €120m.
It is said that Griezmann will pen a five-year contract at the Blaugrana worth €17m per year, despite rejecting the chance to join the club a year ago.
Griezmann, 28, penned a long-term contract at Los Rojiblancos last summer after rejecting interest from Barcelona, who had pursued a deal.
Despite those previous misgivings, it has been widely reported that Barca have been in talks since March to land their long-term target this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked with a move for the France international but it now looks increasingly likely he will remain in La Liga.
Griezmann has scored 21 goals across all competitions last season for Diego Simeone’s side and has grown into one of the world’s most in-demand players since his move from Real Sociedad in 2014.
