Ander Herrera, Pablo Sarabia to PSG on Monday

Paris Saint-Germain are set to complete the signing of Spanish midfield duo Ander Herrera and Pablo Sarabia on Thursday, say reports.

Diario Sport cite a report in Paris United that both players are set to join the Parisian club – Herrera joins on a free following his exit from Manchester United while Sarabia arrives in a €20m deal from Sevilla.

Herrera, 29, is out of contract after leaving Old Trafford this summer and has been free to discuss terms with other clubs since January.

A report from March in Diario AS claimed the Spaniard will move to the Parc des Princes on a three-year contract, with a ‘significant wage increase’ from a reported €112k per week up to €170k per week.

Atletico Madrid have also previously been linked to the combative central midfielder, alongside Italian side Roma.

Herrera joined United in 2014 in a €30m deal and made 189 appearances to date for the club, scoring 20 goals.

The report claims the midfielder wants to end his career at former club Real Zaragoza.

Sarabia, 27, netted 22 goals and provided 16 assists this season for the Andalusian club and has been a model of consistency since joining from Getafe in a €1m deal back in 2016.

The player, who has an €18m release clause, has previously been linked with a move to Chelsea, who are under a transfer ban, and Italian club Roma.

This follows on from a report in Diario AS that PSG are willing to pay €2m more than the player’s release clause as a sign of goodwill and to hasten the move.

The Madrid-native started his career at Real Madrid and even made a Copa del Rey appearance in the first-team before joining Getafe in 2011.

In January, a report in Diario AS cited Sevilla’s ‘anxiety’ over the player’s release clause, with the player’s deal at Los Rojiblancos in the summer of 2020.

Sarabia has scored 42 goals across his three seasons with the Andalusian club.
